Yes, yes, and yes. CrossFit looks at every community in the fitness industry and takes the most beneficial exercises/movements combining them to create the ultimate program "forging elite fitness".
- Is this like circuit training/bootcamp?
Yes and no. Sometimes we have circuit-like workouts, but sometimes we do only strength workouts. We also have days that we work on movement skills. Variety is a major foundation that makes CrossFit Elite.

- Will I lose weight?
It's possible, so is you gaining weight but your body will lean up. Muscle mass density is much higher than fat, thus takes up less space. Read up on the Zone or the Paleo diet if you want some nutrition advice. Click here for a link to the CrossFit Journal on the Zone.

Here are the some of the cases that do: major muscle imbalances, specific health concerns, post rehab, etc. You are coming here for an education on fitness, world class coaching, and experienced programming.

Do not let this scare you off, but the answer is true. There is something called rhabdomyolysis or rhabdo for short. Click this link for the CrossFit Journal on Exercise Induced Rhabdo information.
