To Liz's comment yesterday:
We must also mention how we learned that Liz punches harder than her husband. Sorry, Eric, but the numbers don't lie. Also, if Tim drives anything like he does in Whirlyball, make sure he doesn't know what kind of car you drive and stay out of the West Loop.

I don't know about the numbers don't lie thing. Benny punched it harder than I did... I think it was a lucky punch (yes, I seen all the video footage).

I may have to sign Eric up for some personal training : ) Great time yesterday!

I think the timed bathroom breaks were one of the many highlights of the day.

Hey Rudy - thanks for the video. It looked much better with the cape. ;-)
Great hanging out with everyone yesterday. How much longer did you all stay?

We continued the party and took it over to Joe's on Weed St. Where Emily skillfully got us a table. Ha ha ha. Em that was awesome. I thought we for sure would get booted or possibly kicked out.

Rudy - the pics are awesome. Super Burpee Chad rocks! Had a great time Saturday - everyone was so much fun.
Liz - you're so sweet, loved the "things I learned" portion of your post. I'll add that I learned to stay away from mobile devices after the 5th beer - sorry for all texts Bryce :)

Alison - how did the Sear's Tower stair climb go Sunday morning? Saw the video on the news and thought of you!
Posted by: Erin | November 10, 2008 at 08:04 AM
Thanks for thinking of me Erin! So, it was quite an experience to say the least. Ended dragging myself up the railings by about flight 50:) Very scenic..enjoyed the beautiful narrow stairwells and everybody's sweat drops along the way; however, the throw-up in the stairwells was definitely the highlight lol:) Overall, great experience!! Did it in 24 minutes. Yay!
Posted by: Alison | November 10, 2008 at 08:41 AM
That is pretty quick Alison. Your description of the event pretty graphic...I could almost smell the sweat paired with the acidic smell from puke. How are you feeling today? How did Jason do?
Posted by: Rudy | November 10, 2008 at 09:09 AM
Lol Rudy it definitely was an interesting experience! Surprisingly I don't feel sore at all today; however, I'm sure the pain is on the way:) Jason rocked it out in a little over 20 minutes, go Jason! The half Hancock will be nothing after this madness:)
Posted by: Alison | November 10, 2008 at 10:13 AM
Alison, Didn't you say it took you 13-14min to do half? You must have picked up the pace a bit for race day.
Posted by: Rudy | November 10, 2008 at 11:33 AM
Rudy-Yeah, I think the nasty stairwells made me want to get up to the top as fast as I could:) I ended up placing 20th in my age division. Whoo Hoo! Contemplating becoming a professional stair climber ha ha:)

Tim does drive a car like he drove at Whirleyball Ben! How did you know?! Makes you understand why I am always driving us to CrossFit in the evenings!
We had a great time with everyone on Sat. Thanks for taking all those pics Rudy especially since most look like they were taken while I was still sober!

Just wanted to thank everyone for an awesome visit to a new crossfit. Work was stressful while I was in town so it was great to be able to show up and have some painful fun for a while.
Will definitely stop by again the next time I am in the Chicago area.
