Slowly improving. My quads are burning. Rudy said I'm using the wrong muscles, need to extend forward more. Oops! Next time work to get my hamstrings sore.

Had two rounds over 2:00 in July and was rowing about 35 strokes/min, so feel good about this one at 23 - 25 strokes.

Had to do 20 burpees..yay. Need to work on my pacing.
Also, our Hustle up the Hancock CrossFit team needs more members! Join the fun! Good cause, good workout, tax deductible...what more can you ask for:):)

Alison is refering to penalty burpees. If you are more than 10sec off your best effort, you have post-workout penalty burpees to do. 20x per infraction.
I am very impressed with the amount of knowledge at our box, excluding our trainers, we have 4 Running Endurance Certs. 2 Gymnastic Certs. 1 Basic Barbell Cert!

2:05; 2:03; 2:01; 2:01 - I'm proud to say that after that workout I drove home without crashing into anything.

My hams are killing me, and apparently I curl up into a ball at the top of my pull. I'll have to work on that . . .

1st round PR, had to swallow hard after 3 and 4, PR cost some burpees at the end...had nothing left to draw upon

nice work Tim and Eileen...workin hard on those L sits.

Oooh, penalty burpees. I'm hoping that I can pull this off without getting them. Shooting for something in the 1:20 area tonight. We'll see what happens. I'm sure the 4 minutes creeps up quickly.
I just committed to the AON Center stair challenge for my other job on January 25, so I will likely be joining the half Hancock team as well.

Hey Rudy - are there going to be special CrossFit Chicago team t-shirts for the Hustle up the Hancock? I'm thinking we could have some fun with the phrase "half-cocked" for the team slogan...
Posted by: Erin | November 17, 2008 at 10:34 AM
Congrats to Eileen and Tim. Wish I could have gone with you guys. Hope the hands are still in one piece.
Posted by: Bryce | November 17, 2008 at 10:41 AM
Erin, I love the slogan. Some poor guy climbing up behind you is going to see "half-cocked" for 90 flights of stairs everytime he looks up.
Starting myself on the Zone diet this morning - was way off for my first meal. I thought I was building an equally portioned meal, but it turned into 5 protein blocks, 8 carb blocks and only 3 fat blocks. To the Zone diet guys - I think I need some advice!

1:36.9 (33 s/m); 1:40.3 (35 s/m); 1:44.9 (33 s/m); 1:42.7 (33 s/m)
First time doing this one and felt pretty good. The gym has TV stands under the front legs of the rower and so it slides all over the place under max effort. Makes it tougher with all the extra movement.

I forgot to mention that the HalfCocked Hustle might sell out quick since the full climb already sold out. So, get your spot soon.

Joey, if you're in tonight, I can go through things with you. Shouldn't be too difficult to get you on track.

Joey- Talk to Andrew about the Zone Diet- he has read so much literature on the topic. He is a great resource.

Bryce I'll be in at 6 tonight. Lets talk turkey (literally).
